Started the nursery!!

We bought the crib and the changing table today! We still need to get the dresser and will get it next week. Here's what it looks like so far..

Christmas recap

Ahh We did it!! Christmas is done and over with! It was a great, great day.

We woke up around 730am or so, Josh made us both coffee (decaf for me, regular for him) and we started to open up our presents!!
Sammy got his first though, i've declared it as the world's largest rawhide!

The Aftermath..

After presents, we had our cinammon rolls, Josh put his new surround sound together and we watched a movie. We had our dinner a little later than we wanted (we were too busy playing with our 'toys' all day!) but when we did finally eat, it was great!! We have SO many leftovers and I love it!! We finished our night by watching some tv then headed to bed. It was our last Christmas just the two of us and I couldn't of asked for a better one.

Christmas eve eve

Is that even a real phrase? Well, it finally snowed!!

Being that it is the Eve Eve of Christmas, it's time to start preparing the bread for the stuffing for Christmas dinner. I would like to say i'm going to be busy baking all day...but that just isn't the case. Tear up the bread and let it get stale, yup those are my cooking plans of the day. On a bright note, Josh just called and said his boss his letting him off tomorrow at noon!! Maybe we'll make a snowman ;)

I had Josh take some pictures of my 21 week belly this weekend...

Josh and Sammy-sam is so tall!!!

Let it snow!!

It's snowing!!! Finally! 3 more days until Christmas and i'm hoping either the snow sticks around or it snows on that day.
Ethan has been kicking me all day. I love it when he does. It's comforting to feel him moving around in there, although it feels like he's rearranging my organs at times. We decided on his middle name!! Well, actually this past weekend we decided. Ethan Dylan Rogers, what a great name! Josh and I had been talking about it all Sunday morning and over breakfast at Perkins. We had liked Dylan and David as middle names, but decided that morning to look at other options. We came to the conclusion a few hours later that his middle name would either be Harrison or Blake. Obviously either one of those didn't fly and we both decided on Dylan at about 4pm on Sunday afternoon.
I can't wait to go back to school. I ended up withdrawing this past semester (during my first tri) because I felt horrible. I'm still decided on whether or not to take my classes in spring. I can't wait to transfer to CSU! It's still about 2 years away, but I can't wait...hopefully everything goes smoothly with the baby and my classes to have it all work out. I know Josh is looking forward to it! We just loved it up there when we went to visit this past summer.
Time for hot chocolate!

Early morning thoughts..

Today is a beautiful day. I love mornings when you wake up and you just feel refreshed. Josh has to go in to work today, just for a few hours though. Hopefully he should be home by lunch. In the mean time, i'll have my breakfast, wake up slowly and enjoy the sunshine. I took my 21 week picture yesterday and couldn't believe how big my belly is!

It's starting to make me a little nervous. I just hope I don't look like a bunch of bees stung me by the time I give birth...but, eh, that's probably inevitable. On that same note, i'm looking forward to shoveling food in my mouth on Christmas day. On the menu: Roast (for Josh), mashed pots and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, carrots, rolls, and pies for dessert. Ahh, the holidays are fantastic, aren't they? It's the time when we all can indulge in our own gluttony and then vow to become a thinner more fantastic us in the new year.

7 days until Christmas?? It feels like I just finished cleaning up Thanksgiving dinner. I love the ornament my mom got us for our tree, it marks our first holiday as a married couple. And i'm sure in the next few days Josh will bring up our 'first' Christmas together (just as friends). We were supposed to hang out that day since our families live out of state. Well, I ended up not being able to see him and he will NEVER let me live that down! I'm looking forward to Christmas this year. It's our last one with just the two of us! Our plans are pretty laid back. Since none of our family lives close, we'll be enjoying the day to ourselves. Probably open presents in the morning (Josh will enjoy his coffee, i'll watch him and drool) then start cooking our feast!! Just because it's only two of us, doesn't mean i'm cooking for two. I LOVE leftovers and we'll have plenty of them. Josh has been working so much these past few weeks i'll be happy to have him home for a three day weekend (and i'm sure he'll be happy to be home too). I can't wait!

21 weeks today

Wow, I can't believe I have 19 more weeks to go! It really almost seems like yesterday I was reading a positive pregnancy test...hopefully the next 19 weeks go by just as quickly. Well just last week we found out we are having a BOY!

We've already decided on a name, well, at least a first name anyways. Ethan! I love it and so does Josh. We're still going over middle names though. I just can't wait to meet him and see what he looks like! We've begun his nursery and picked out the theme (giraffes!) I can't wait to start buying furniture here in the next month.
