Yay to the Third Trimester!!

It's my favorite one! Why? Because at the end of it, I don't go into another trimester, I get a baby! Best tri ever. The animals are all SUPER happy about it too.

26 weeks

We had our childbirth prep class today! Josh and I both really liked it. We watched some movies on birth, the stages of birth, etc. I also learned some great breathing techniques and what to do during contractions. Since we had the class at the hospital i'm going to be delivering at, we had the opportunity to take the tour of Labor and Delivery. The rooms are fantastic!!! They're huge! They have a nice jetted tub in there as well. Another nice thing is that there aren't any set visitor hours so family and friends can come and go as they please. Great day though, we learned a lot! I go in next week to take my glucose test to make sure I don't have gestational diabetees..hopefully not!! I'm also 26 weeks now-last week in 2nd trimester!!

Ethan's room

We went out today and got some paint for the baby's room. We decided on "Sailboat" by Valspar. It's a really pretty blue color, much MUCH better than the oatmeal-y color that was on there before! My doctor said it was okay to be in there while the painting was going on but just to make sure it was well ventilated. I didn't want to risk it though, so in Josh went to paint!

I checked up on him from time to time though :)


I think it turned out really well! Love the new paint color!

We also got our new recliner/glider from American Furniture on Friday!!! I LOOOOOVE it! It glides and reclines which is nice. I just put my wooden stool in front of it. I've had that stool since I was a kid! I remember using it to stand on to brush my teeth.

The wall along where the chair and lamp are, i'm going to go to the zoo and take some black and white pictures of the giraffe's and hang them on the wall.

25 Weeks!!

Helloooo 25 weeks!
I was looking at comparison pics from 7 weeks until now (25)...see the difference!

Crazy!!! My belly looks sooo different! Ethan's been pretty active up until recently. I think he found a little spot in my belly that he likes and it's a little harder for me to feel him moving around...but I still feel him daily so that's good! We go in one week to take our birthing class at the hospital. I think it'll get a lot more real then!! 15 weeks to go!

Garden of the Gods

Wow, January 10th and it was almost 60 degrees! We decided to go take a little hike through Garden of the Gods with Sammy. Aaand this past Friday I turned 24 weeks!! Woohoo to Viability Day!!

Doctor appointment today!!

We had our 24 week appointment (at 23 and a half weeks) this morning. It went great! Ethan's heartbeat was in the 150's and he was happy as a clam. It was a pretty uneventful appointment though. Dr. Baer asked me what questions I had, listened to the Ethan's and then felt my belly for my uterus. I did get my paper work to go do my glucose test! I go in about 2 weeks...no food past midnight the night before and then go straight there in the morning. I was told to expect to be there for an hour! Ugh. I'm really not looking forward to drinking the concoction they'll have waiting for me! But, in 5 weeks we go in for our 3D ultrasound!! I'm SO excited for that!!! It'll be really our first time at 'seeing' him really well. How fun. Hopefully he cooperates at the pictures come out well!

A day at the park..

We decided to finally go to the park today....something we've been meaning to do since we moved in!! It was nice because no one was there and for good reason too-it was COLD!


Josh brought his football and threw it around..to himself!

Poor guy, I couldn't really 'get out there' and start throwing it back and forth with him.

We went out today to purchase some more stuff for Ethan. I'm happy with what we got! We ended up getting the 'My little lamb cradle and swing' by Fisher Price

23 Weeks

They're flying by!

2010!

Welcome to the new year! I can't believe it's already January!! Our New Years Eve was great. We went to The Craftwood Inn in Manitou Springs-it was fantastic!

We had a really nice dinner and then came home. It didn't really even feel like New Years Eve..strange. We came home, Josh had some Sam Adams and I had my sparkling cider and we celebrated at home. It was pretty neat though, at midnight we stuck our heads outside and saw all kinds of fireworks and we heard people yelling from all different directions (Happy New Year!). It was pretty neat!
